In a series of discussions, artists will be asked about the use of art events in their own practice. The emphasis will be on the question of why, and in what way, the event is such an appropriate vehicle for their aims and aesthetics. The discussions will be framed in national contexts, or in the context of particular art centres, in an attempt to ascertain the current development and state of the medium of the “art event” in selected regions on the global art map.
